Educational seed germination activity
“Great things often begin with the tiniest seeds of curiosity and care.”
The kindergarten students of State Public School, Jalandhar Cantt., participated in an engaging and educational seed germination activity that introduced them to the wonderful process of plant growth. Through this hands-on experience, the little learners discovered how a tiny seed gradually develops into a new plant with the right conditions of air, water, and warmth. With the guidance of their mentors, the children observed seeds, learned about the different stages of germination, and enthusiastically participated in the activity by placing seeds in suitable conditions for growth. The activity encouraged curiosity, observation skills, and a deeper appreciation for nature. It also helped students understand the importance of plants in our lives and inspired them to care for the environment. The cheerful participation of the young learners made the activity both enjoyable and meaningful, turning a simple classroom experience into a valuable lesson in environmental awareness and scientific learning.
The President, Dr Narotam Singh, the Vice President , Dr Gagandeep Kaur along with the Principal Mrs Savina Bahl said that activities like seed germination nurture curiosity, develop scientific thinking, and instil love and respect for nature in young minds and by encouraging children to learn through exploration and observation, the school aims to foster responsible, aware, and environmentally conscious individuals.
