Story Enactment Activity
“Children learn more from what they see than from what they are told.”
To foster a love for stories, imagination, and joyful learning among young learners, the Kindergarten Wing of State Public School, Jalandhar organised a captivating Story Enactment Activity based on the classic moral tale “The Woodcutter and His Axe.” The Kindergarten teachers brought the story to life through expressive role play, colourful costumes, lively dialogues, and creative props, transforming the classroom into an engaging world of learning and imagination. The delightful performance kept the tiny tots engrossed while encouraging them to develop listening skills, creativity, confidence, and strong moral values.
The young audience enthusiastically participated by interacting with the characters, answering questions, and sharing the moral of the story. Through this engaging enactment, the children learnt the importance of honesty, truthfulness, and integrity, making the learning experience both enjoyable and meaningful.
President Dr. Narotam Singh, Vice-President Dr. Gagandeep Kaur, and Principal Mrs. Savina Bahl appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Kindergarten teachers for presenting the story in such an innovative and engaging manner. They emphasised that activity-based learning and storytelling play a significant role in nurturing imagination, communication skills, moral values, and a lifelong love for learning among young children.
