World Environment Day
The Earth is what we all have in common.
State Public School, Jalandhar, celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment towards environmental conservation. To mark the occasion, the teaching staff participated in a tree plantation drive within the school campus, reinforcing the message of creating a greener and healthier future.
The programme began with an awareness talk highlighting the importance of protecting natural resources and maintaining ecological balance. Teachers actively planted saplings of various shade-giving and fruit-bearing trees, pledging to nurture them and contribute towards a sustainable environment. The initiative aimed to instill environmental responsibility and encourage collective efforts in combating climate change.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal emphasized that every tree planted today is a step towards a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable tomorrow. The event concluded with a pledge by all staff members to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives and inspire students to become responsible custodians of the environment.
The President Dr Narotam Singh, the vice president, Dr Gagandeep Kaur along with the Principal, Mrs Savina Bahl wished everyone happy environment day and requested everyone to work together to preserve nature and build a greener world for all.
