International Mother Language Day
“Mother tongue reflects a person’s identity and culture” — bringing this thought to life, State Public School celebrated International Mother Language Day with great enthusiasm and reverence. The objective of the program was to instill love, respect, and awareness among students towards their mother tongue.
The program commenced with an inspiring address by the school Principal, Mrs. Savina Bahl. Highlighting the importance of the mother tongue, she stated that it forms the strong foundation of our thoughts, emotions, and cultural heritage. She encouraged students to stay connected to their language and contribute to its preservation and promotion.
On this occasion, students showcased their talents through poetry recitation, essay writing, and cultural performances. The young learners beautifully expressed their love for their mother tongue through Punjabi poems and folk songs. The program also highlighted the diversity of different languages and their shared values.
At the conclusion of the program, all students took a pledge to respect their mother tongue and actively promote it. The event proved to be a source of knowledge, pride, and inspiration for the students.
