Financial literacy activity
"Do not save what is left after spending, but spend what is left after saving."
In an engaging and educational initiative, students of State Public School, Jalandhar Cantt. of class 5 participated in a Financial Literacy Activity designed to teach young learners the essential processes of banking, including depositing and withdrawing money. The event aimed to introduce basic financial concepts in a practical and fun way.The students of class 5 played the role of bank employees, while students from classes 3 and 4 visited the “bank” to deposit and withdraw money. This interactive setup gave the younger students an opportunity to experience a simulated banking environment, learn about the different banking counters, and understand how transactions are carried out. In addition to learning about counters for deposits, withdrawals, and customer service, students were also introduced to how an ATM machine works and the overall banking system. The activity was a great success, as it not only taught students the importance of financial management but also instilled in them confidence and knowledge about how banks operate.
The President and Vice-President of Group of State Public Schools, Dr. Narotam Singh and Dr. Gagandeep Kaur along with Mrs. Savina Bahl, praised the learning experiences that will prepare these students for real-world situations.
